Mini-updates:

Been to FEVMarine yesterday with roy_gt and bought some NSW. Lupet ng sunlit tanks ni Ritchie. Nadale pa kami ng coding tapos naubusan pa ng gas, haha.

Ordered lights as well, by tomorrow or monday ang dating sa akin. Unfortunately, the 10 watt floodlights I am planning to order are unavailable. I ordered 2 7 watt Cool White Downlights instead. Spent 600 petot for the fixtures plus shipping (260 each plus 80 petot shipping fee). Nagkasya yung 1k budget ko for the lights, may sukli pa. LOL!

@jake yes, the seller does not have any 10w Cool White floodlights available yet so I ordered two of 7 watt downlights instead. I have yet to see how they would perform but if it works fine, then I'm gonna settle with them then add a supplemental array of 3w RB LEDs late next year.

Wow! I counted 7 leds.. meaning 1w each? For a small tank ok na siguro yun? Would it pass for moderate lighting as far as lumens, par etc? Sorry for the noob question, still studying those technicalities.. (masyado kasi akong fascinated sa lighting)

@ron yup, they run at 1w each. For a shallow tank like mine combined with the right placement/short distance from the water surface, I'd say they are more than enough. Remember the links on the gu10's the people on nano-reefs forum use? Those 3w fixtures have 3 1w diodes similar to what I ordered. Multichip LEDs are also a cluster of 1w diodes.

Gagana rin yan sa mga standard height tanks (16-18"), yun nga lang dapat mababa ang placement nila at mas marami ang kakailanganing fixtures.

Sayang wala akong PAR meter, mas maganda sanang measurement yun, instead of lux and spectral peaks. Ang mahal eh!

Di ko pa nakita pero assuming na yun din ang ginagamit sa mga LED fixtures at tama yung spectrum, I'd say yes. Pero kailangan mo pa rin ng optics para dun at heatsinks. Kaya bumili na lang ako kasi tamad talaga ako magkumpuni.

BTW saan sa raon yun? Gustong gusto ko talagang pumunta dun kaso nagmumukha akong promdi sa sobrang clueless ko. Nakita ko na yung IC Tech once pero sarado na.

May nakita ka rin bang RB LEDs dun?
