Question about diatom bloom

Im on my 1 1/2 weeks of cycling my tank. Ask ko lang mga master kung normal lang magka diatom bloom ng ganito kaaga when cycling? Medyo madami na kasi diatoms sa tank ko almost half ng glass ng DT and LR is covered na ng diatoms. Pabayaan ko lang ba magka diatom bloom ang tank or need ko mag WC? TIA mga master..

Diatoms are very common specially on the infant stage of your tank. Cause of this is the excess silica in your water. Much better if you do this:
- have a good water flow
- brush and siphon so it will not grow uncontrollably
- also add CUCs that will help control it (turbo snail, sea urchin, cowrie)
- turn off the light since you are still cycling it

+1 on the waterflow bro. Parang lamok yan eh. Kapag stagnant ang tubig, mabilis sila dumami

Thanks masters for the replies.. I think i have a good waterflow naman, i have a 12 watts sunsun double wavemaker on a 50 gallon DT. I think my main problem is sa lighting mahirap sya i turn off kasi natural light siya hehe.. I have natural sunlight hitting the tank from 7 am to 8 am and 2pm to 4pm. Okei na ba maglagay ng CUC this early sa cycling?

Subukan mo tutukan ng wavemaker yung affected area bro. Baka makatulong. Check mo rin yung parameters mo, kung ok naman na ang ammo and trites, baka pwede na turbo snail dyan.

Thanks for the input sir roland, I'll check my parameters tomorrow sana puede na cuc. Medyo hindi na kasi kaaya-aya itsura ng DT ko hehe..
