saltwater aquarium from cartimar

Hiall,,

I bought a 10G saltwater aquariun sa cartimar..they said its good na daw complete set up and all..and so i believed them..

Heres whats included:
Overhead filter
Lighting (blue flourescent)
Live rocks
3 corals
And 15 assorted fish

So there,,pag uwi ko sinetup ko na just like what they told me,,nilagay ko ung water na kasama sa binili ko..antayin ko lang daw luminaw and i can place the fish na..after a while luminaw na since running na ung filter..then paggising ko kinaumagahan,,8 ang patay..then pumunta ako sa cartimar to ask ung nagbenta,,ganun daw talaga un..klangan may mamatay para ma balance ung bacteria..after a week namatay na lahat..then i bought another batch,,10 fish naman this time,,kc and again,,ganun nnman nangyari,,kinabukasan,,patay nnman clang lahat..so i decided to change the water kc baka may mali,,i bought water ulit sa cartimar pero this time di ko muna nilagyan ng fish kc nababasa ko din na mas magandang ma-cycle muna..after 1 week,,which was yesterday,,i bought 10 fish ulit..then this morning,,mag isa na lang sya..

I know something is wrong kc lagi clang namamatay..nakakalungkot lang..i hope someone can help me and guide me through this since gusto ko talaga ang mag alaga ng saltwater fish..

before you buy another batch of fishes please take time to read the stickied threads here:

No one can really provide any concrete guide for you to follow, but as a safe (and sensible) advice, I would recommend you cycle again properly - this time without any fish or corals, complete what you need like hydrometers and testkits and a large batch of clean saltwater and do not add more than two small fishes in your tank. Actually 1 fish is already pushing it, but hey, it's your tank.

Should you decide to keep corals as well, please bear in mind that they will need both time and a reasonable amount of money to keep.

Hi Sir Marty,

Where can i buy po ung hydrometer and test kit.?

And are the steps po to cycle again.?

Shall i remove everything and let the water run for a month before i place the live rocks back.?or shall i try a bigger aquarium so i can buy a skimmer..which i think is very important..

If you can get a bigger tank then that would be good. Tandaan mo nga lang mas lalaki na gastos mo lalo sa pagbili ng ilaw at pagbayad ng kuryente.

Cartimar shops have hydrometers. Or better yet, contact FEVMarine or Aquariatech for the stuff you need.

Kung yan pa rin ang tank na gagamitin mo, paampon mo na lang lahat ng natitirang isda o coral tapos hayaan mo na lang magcycle yung bato. Sa liit ng tank mo hindi na kakailanganin ng skimmer niyan. Regular WCs lang okay na. Sa liit niyan malaking bagay na ang 1 gallon per week. Sobrang tipid na nun.

Also, kung mainit ang area ninyo malabo kang makapag-reef tank sa ganyan kaliit na tank unless kaya mong i-maintain yung temperature ng tank around 27-28C tops.

Dapat po pala talaga 1-2 fish lang. Kc akala ko since cla naman nagbigay eh ok na ung marami. Naexcite cguro ako ng sobra. Thanks po sa advice. Will get in touch po if i need additional info.

From Pasay ako. I saw sa mga thread na mas better nga daw ang bigger tank. Im thinking of buying na lang a bigger tank cguro. pero i guess, it would be just the same, kung dito nga sa 10g namamatayan ako, baka ganun din po mangyari sa bigger tank ko.

Buying a bigger tank would be a good idea, just as long as you have the budget for it. Keep in mind you will need more lights, stronger pumps and more water for larger tanks.

Regardless of the size of the tank, proper livestock selection and good husbandry are the things to keep in mind.

Namatay na po cla lahat. I texted ung nagbenta sakin, di ako nirereplyan. Nakakalungkot talaga. Kasi i really wanted a saltwater aquarium. I really need guidance bago mag start ulit.
