Good sunday afternoon po guys! Medyo ilang weeks na rin po akong nagbabasa sa forum..... I decided to join na rin kasi po interested ako sa salt water aquarium... Im planing po ng FOWLR set up muna. Eventually pag marunong na saka po ako mag lagay ng corals. Sana po ay matulongan nyo ako sa set up ko. Ito po ung mga gamit na nabili ko so far. If may needed pa ako sana assist me. Gusto ko na po itong magawa this week..
10 gallons aquarium.


5bags of sand,1 bag of salt mix good for 30 gallons.


Precision Filter PF-750 specs po 220V, 60Hz, 20W flow: 1000L/h ska po 1 filter pads and Supreme Aqua Hydrometer/thermometer. Ung LR po bibili na lng po if ok na po ung set up.

Yung saltmix n nabili mo medyo hindi maganda yan.. Mas ok pa gumamit nlng ng Nsw kesa dyan..

Pinaka mura sa market Blue treasure salt mix..

About naman sa filtration mo which is overhead pede din naman yan dalasan mo lang cleaning ng floss.

As of the moment habang mag cycle ka pa ok na yan overhead. Rocks nalang kelangan mo at flow/wave maker.

Ma mix po yata. Nabili ko sa kathrina sa cartimar po. Yan pong blue na bag sa picture yan po ung salt mix ko na nabili.

Salamat po sa pag welcome. Ganun po ba hinde pala maganda ung nabili ko. Layo kasi samin Ng cartimar kaya di ako bumili ng saltwater dun. Sa Malabon pa ako. Althrough fisherfolks mga kuya ko kaso baka pag nagpakuha ako ng salt water sa manila bay madumi hahahaha.

I-cure mo muna yung sand and live rocks mo before placing them in the tank. There is a thread here for curing live rocks.
Also, what type of lighting will you be using?

In my opinion, same lang ang learning curve between a mixed reef and a FOWLR set up.

I used 2 azure damsels and some elegance corals while cycling that are still alive and well today. it is important that you use a good salt mix with RO filtered water or NSW and properly cure your sand and LR.

Get a test kit also. You need to be able to check your water parameters to know how your cycling is doing.

First, I'm Aaron yung sinasabi ni excalibur about sa blue treasure sps saltmix. Malapit lang po ako sa inyo taga balintawak lang ako near LRT Balintawak(Puregold) so if you need Blue Treasure Saltmix, Just text me. Pwedeng deliver or pickup pero pag deliver shoulder mo delivery.

anyway, for a 10 gallon tank + liverock + sand, I do not recommend any skimmer. Sipagan mo lang mag waterchange like 10-20% WC every week is enough. Pero make sure you do have RO or RO/DI filtered water para sa saltmix. If mag Fish only ka lang, iprefer you to buy sa exporter ng isda. Just ask here kung meron sila kilala at mairerecommend. Mas healthy yung fish nila compare sa cartimar, its like 1-2 out of 10 fish ang mabubuhay mo pg sa cartimar ka bibili. If swerte, mas madami dyan pero if hindi ka swerte baka wala pa. sa cartimar mura pero rejects sila ng mga exporter at halo halo pa sila sa isang tank... hindi gaya sa exporter na separate sila paminsan isa isa or per kind.

Sand linisin mo mabuti bago gamitin.

until now nakatabi pa lang ang mga gamit ko. medyo mahal din kasi ang hobby natin kaya ng bumibili muna ako ang mga gamit para pag nagcycle ako dirediretso na po.
