Need Help! bago po ako and gusto ko ng reef tank. please!

Bago lang po ako sa hobby, as in level 1. Gusto ko sanang magkaron ng reef tank. Ang plano ko is 35 or 50 gal tank. The problem is hindi ko alam kung magkano ang aabutin. I'm a student and sa baon ko ako kukuha ng panggastos, so kung kakayanin ko ang reef tank, go ako. pero if hindi afford, mag Fish only with Liverock nlng muna ako.

Pa-help naman po ako sapaglist ng mga dapat bilhin as in lahat, simula sa first day ng pag set up hanggang sa last day of cycling. Paindicate din po ung price and ung magandang affordable na brand. As much as possible ung item po is makikita sa cartimar, yun lng po kasi ung alam kong shop.

Mejo madugo lng initial cost ng equipments.depending on the brand that ur going to use.after that d naman na ganun kalaki gastusin.infact marami nagpapa adopt ng mga corals n fishes... In my opinion u dont need test kit anymor while cycling.u just hav to wait 6-8wks to be sure it is finished already.once your tank is stable,u wont need ur ammonia,nitrite testkit anymore...kelangan mo na test kit is nitrate ph calcium n alk.

why not go for a smaller tank kung may budget constraint ka? go sumpless and skimmerless.

1. Pwede. I've tried that already
2. It depends on u. Bigger=more space for corals/fishes,bigger maintenance n electricity cost. Smaller= less space, less maintenance cost
3. Pwede naman bumili mga sunsun o resun o watever brand ng wavemaker sa carti. Return pump mga seaquest etc pwede din namn. Makakabuhay naman yan coz dey wil giv u water moverment/flow. Ung lights lang wag ka bibili carti.underpowered. better go diy. Plenty of reefers here can help u for free/for a fee.

Kung limited ka sa budget. Go for smaller tank. Mas less initial equipments and less monthly operating cost.
Just remember to cycle it properly and don't over stock. Sa mga nakita ko dito sa RP eto pinaka ok na gayahin for minimalist set up.

2 hang-on back filter lang. gamit niya. If hindi ka mag cocoral di mo pa pa need ng lights.

Some notes:
-Use Purified water for mixing artificial seawater and replacing the daily evaporated water (Don't use tap water)
-Blue Treasure SPS salt (cheapest that is of good quality available in the market). Don’t use the Bioresearch or Cartimar “blue” bag na salt
-Clip on Fan, DIY CPU Fan or Small CDR-King Fan: To lower water temperature
-Careful in handling corals, avoid rubbing your eyes or mouth after you touch corals. Wash your hands immediately and thoroughly. Some corals contains Toxins.
-Research fish compatibility/requirements before buying

Do a research first. It pays to study the hobby and gaining BASIC knowledge first. Be prepared to take on a lot of PATIENCE too.
