how about making a sprinkler system using pvc pipes? that might work.

The best way to get that non linear and random flow, aside from buying a wavemaker, is to get 2 powerheads on each back corner pointing towards the middle front part of the aquarium. The 2 opposing currents should create that random flow. I also have 2 powerheads at the back, bottom corners facing each other to avoid dead spots. I hope this makes sense?

i did this dati, looped manifold. kumbaga, yung return pump ko, maraming outlet using series of pipes. ok naman. kaya lang, sa dami ng elbows and pipes, lumalaki ang head loss ng return pump.
