Plenum, help pls

you have enough rocks based on what i see. dont bother to add more. besides, those crushed corals are big enough to act like live rocks already.

Guys plano kong tanggalin yung crushed corals and replace it with refugium/plenum. ok question po
1. Pag na remove ko na yung crushed corals ko and replace it with aragonite sand as plenum, aside fr liverock ano na magiging filter ko? Pwede na ba yung white filter? (dont know the name)
2. Yung aragonite sand ala daw sa mga natanungan ko sa cartimar, pwede na ba yung ordinary sand? Yung crushed corals ba pwede ko ilagay sa pina bottom ng plenum then yung pinong sand sa ibabaw? Baka kasi may silbi pa yung crushed corals ko
3. Last na lang po (hiya ako eh) pag na set up ko na lahat yung plenum ko ang problema wla namang available sa cartimar na mangrove(tama ba) and caulerpa. Meron ba akong mabibilhan sa mga ka kosa natin dito reefphil? ty po

1. your liverocks will serve as your biofilter. your plenum also serve as your reducer of nitrates. and the macroalgae will also control nutrients on your tank as well. filter floss ata yung puti na nisasabi mo parang foam ba? tulad ng sabi ni fugu you have to clean that every week para di magtapon ng nitrates sa tank mo.

2.yung coral sand dun ok na. yung binebenta na pino na sand. gawin mo yung vinegar test ha. that test is posted somewhere on the site. search mo na lang.

3. meron sa cartimar ng macroalgae. yun nga lang kelangan check check mo sa cartimar. or better yet kung me kakosa ka na nagtitinda dun ng saltwater thingies e patext ka na lang kung me dumating na.

you can do without the floss filter. kaya na yan ng skimmer mo. pero kung gusto mo talaga, change it once or twice a week.

There is nothing wrong with you keeping a progress file. Perhaps when you have completed your reef you can help us by posting your reef project, complete with picturess and your step by step process? For now, it is to everyone's advantage if each component of your reef is accessible to people who visit this site, to read and do research by subject headings.

We try to ask everyone to do this and it is by no measure, a reprimand. We all derail once in a while.
