Queen Angel and French Angel in Batangas

Here is two photograph taken by a pinoy diver in Batangas last year.
The funny thing is he did not even know what kind of fish it was.
Since I am an expert in Fish Identification. I told him what kind of fish it was and
that I was surprise that he was able to capture this in one of his fun dives.

Queen Angel mas mahirap yan hindi malakas kumain but French Angel mas madali. This fishes are very expensive and not for beginners. Since wala tayo marimi yan kasi endemic yan to the reefs of Bahamas up to Brazil. Nasa category yan ng Large Angel fish. They should be place in 250-300 gallon tank as they mature better and faster and should not be mix with too many large angel fishes category.

ah ok. what would you suggest for a first angel to have?

Angel fish in general have a specific behavior but sometimes are unpredictable.

Depending on the space you will keep them. If you have less than 100 gallon. I would collect the Dwarf Angelfish. If you have more than 200-up gallon then go for the Large angel category.

In my website you may check their level of keeping.

I would avoid Emperator Angelfish and Regal Angel. Small-Large
Most of them are 90% cyanide caught.

Lemonpeel might be harder to keep. Try coral beauty, rusty angel, and bicolor. Rember if you keep dwarf angel dont mix the large angel eventhought they are still small or juv. stage. They still will dominate the space.

i wonder how they got over our waters... the place of origin is pretty far... there have been new fishes not used to be found in our waters that are now been sighted and collected like the Hawaiian Yellow and the Powder Blue Tangs.... maybe there are many more fishes in our waters that we are not aware of... those are really nice huge fishes.. thanks for posting it
